On this day two years ago, a great tragedy occurred at the level crossing near Donji Medjurovo. The bus was cut in half and eight lives were lost in a terrible car accident. The young man who survived the accident still has trauma and remembers everything.
In a traffic accident that occurred two years ago at a level crossing, Marko lazarevic of the town of Chokot suffered serious injuries. After numerous surgeries, he is finally able to walk on his own, but is disabled for life.

– I had serious injuries to the upper part of the spine. I could only move my right arm, but over time I partially recovered. I have a few more consequences, so I can’t walk well on my left foot, but it’s okay relative to how it was. I stand up and can move, says Marko de Pink.

Two years have passed since the horrible accident, but the memories of that December 21 morning are still alive.
– I often have nightmares and dream about everything related to that accident. I really have unpleasant dreams and above all I dream of that terrible train accident against the bus and the people who died, the lament of the passengers … Everything is difficult to bear – says Marko.

He adds that he will never forget what happened that morning, but that life goes on.
– Life is in front of me and what happened, happened. I’m sorry for the people who died, it’s a terrible tragedy – says Marko.
His father says that Marko had a second chance and is now living his second life.

“My Marko is disabled and will be alive, but he stood up and can do it alone, which is good,” says Marko’s father.
Mark’s brother says that everyone is trying to forget what happened, but that it is very difficult.
Two villages, Chokot and Medjurovo, are cloaked in black. Eight lives were lost and the way to school for three children was cut off forever.
