– Well, I live great. I have my peace, no more stress, rush, madness at airports, etc. It’s phenomenal for me, finally peace – says Marina.
Marina is still full of positive energy, as she used to be, and her physical appearance hasn’t changed much. He has little contact with his peers from the time he was popular and believes that the world is still young, so he gave the green light to all the new singers.
– I have little contact with colleagues. I don’t like going back to that time. It is a period of my life and it is part of my past. Why would I go back? – says Marina Živković, and then admitted why she retired at the peak of her career.
– It has always been my wish, when I am at the peak of my fame, to retire so as not to slip through some shows in my mature years and so on. It does not quite fit me. If you want to leave a mark, do it with dignity. Then retreat when you are at the zenith, not when you fall, fall, fall and then say: “Oh, poor thing!” If I haven’t secured and won by then, I certainly won’t when I drop. Everybody lives somewhere in the old glory. Your time is up. Younger colleagues are coming, that’s normal and what, should I compete with them now? The world gets the youngest, so cut my soul. What are the second-hand guys going to do with the younger ones who are shooting with beauty and brilliance, to fight with them at airports … That is not appropriate. I know that there are very good young singers and I am happy about that. The music has changed a bit, it’s not like in my time, we keep up with the world – adds Marina.
In recent years it was rumored that Marina changed her profession and religion, and that she became a white magician, but now she has denied it.
– That is not true. I really don’t know … I can’t believe people are so twisted. I guess there is a law and so how can anyone be a white wizard? A newspaper said a couple of years ago that he had changed his religion, that it was now a Maha mantra. Look, I have nothing to do with it. I don’t know what that means either. I have not changed my faith! I was born in Serbia, I would never change my religion. This is my landscape. I was born here, like our food. I speak my mother tongue, I don’t use foreign words. It has nothing to do with life. It occurred to me to sue them too, but I gave up. Let them write what they want, let them put a nice photo – Marina says at the end.
