Epidemiologist and Crisis Staff member Predrag Kon stated on Monday that he did not know why the Crisis Staff session was postponed and that the epidemiological situation was deteriorating.

“We have that figure that exceeded 4,000, which is 500 more than last Monday and which indicates that it is most likely to continue growing. We will follow him in the next few days, but it certainly didn’t matter, “he said.
It highlights that the medical part of the Crisis Staff took their positions long ago and the position that the measures that were valid for the weekend should be introduced for at least seven days.
“It just came to our attention then. It is clear that this cannot be achieved easily and that the attitudes of the political and economic side are different,” says Kon.
He says that two things should be done in parallel: prevention of all contacts that are not necessary for life and vaccination as soon as possible.
“We have been talking about the measures since November, not to mention why everything was delayed. However, it has completely different viewing angles. It seems that the only way out is for everyone to see that the medical part of the crisis personnel stops working. That it doesn’t make any sense, ”emphasizes Kon.
He points out that the question is why are they sitting there if no one is listening to them, but that the medical part of the staff is still “because they need us.”
