Serbian actor Rastko Lupulović was born in 1974 in Belgrade, and fans of cinematographic art remember him for his roles in the films “It will be better” and “Fix the package”, the series “Open doors”, while fans of the theater They are remembered not only for their great roles, but also after the “Zoran Radmilović” Acting Skill Award, which he received at Sterija’s Pozorje in Novi Sad in 1996.
Rastko Lupulović graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Art and was one of the leading actors of his generation.
But he was not only good in front of the camera, but also in the theater, where he found himself by accident when a friend dragged him to the “Dadov” Youth Theater. Then he had long hair, a leather jacket, and he led a completely different lifestyle.
– Yes, the most important thing for me is my conversion to Christianity. Coincidentally, I started going to church. Helped me come down to earth from some puzzling clouds. In general, the Christian-Orthodox is my closest determination. I feel full of rock and all that. The term is somewhere in line with the general way of life, the general superficiality. When I go to the Academy, I run away and come home empty and bored. I go to the liturgy with the same frame of mind, with the need to experience catharsis, but I come home orderly and calm … In the encounter with faith and tradition, you reach a harmonious resolution of your disturbances, and in life covers up these disturbances or completely numbs all emotions. That’s why people lose that creative trait within the deadline, they wear themselves out, they wear out, they wear out … – said Rastko in an interview he gave a few months after he became a monk in 1996.
