The renowned Belgian car designer was responsible for the appearance of the models of the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands.

Luke Donkervolke reportedly retired as the first designer of the Korean automotive group for “personal reasons” and AutoNews informs that the waiver became effective on Wednesday, April 29.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to help shape the future of the Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands”Donkervolke wrote of his departure from the office.
“The company’s bold and progressive attitude allowed me to push the boundaries in design”added the Belgian.
Donkervolke came to Hyundai in 2015 from the Volkswagen Group. Among other things, he signed to design models like Kona me Palisadesand helped shape the car with just the premium brand Genesis.
The Belgian is credited with the look of the model. Genesis G80 and G90as well as SUVs GV80.

Luke Donkervolke began his career at Peugeot in 1990, and two years later he transferred to the Volkswagen Group, where he signed the design for the first generation of Skoda Octavia and Fabia.
