How many INFECTED STUDENTS are there? “We don’t have a good history of infected children, am I right?” Dr. Pelemis asked, and this is what Dr. Kisic said.

– Eight percent of newly infected people are between 10 and 20 years old, which means there is a significant proportion of school-age children – said Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević, member of the crisis staff for the fight against coronavirus at today’s press conference of this Governing Body.

Speaking about the number of infected, he said that more than 60 percent of newly infected people are between 20 and 60 years old, that is, the “working population.”

– We noticed an increase in the number of children in whom this virus was confirmed, although mostly with milder clinical pictures, but there were also deviations – he said.

His colleague, also a member of the crisis staff, Dr. Mijomir Pelemis, added:

– I have to say that we do not have good records of infected children, am I right? – asked Dr. Kisić Tepavčević at the press conference.

He confirmed the doctor’s words: “Everything points to that, because there is a disproportion …”

Pelemis also said that fortunately we do not have many children in hospitals, but that all this is dangerous, because those “children, although they are not serious cases, can transmit the infection, and we do not have accurate records.”

The crisis headquarters for the fight against the coronavirus met this morning and decided that this weekend all the hostels and shopping centers in Serbia can operate until 2 in the afternoon. As for the grocery stores, they will continue to operate until 9pm, as before. Read more about today’s crisis staff session in the links below.
