Pristina will not accept further negotiations for the establishment of the Union of Serbian Municipalities, which Serbia insists, was announced tonight from the office of the Prime Minister of the false state of Kosovo, Avdulah Hoti.

The announcement came the night before the visit of the European Union envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, to Pristina, during which the JCC should be the main topic. Pristina has confirmed that it will comply with its legal obligation to establish the association, but will not agree to be relaunched as a topic at the negotiating table with Serbia.

– We will not accept the presentation of this issue at the negotiating table, but we will respect the obligations of the agreement reached, which were later regulated by decision of the Constitutional Court – announced Hoti’s cabinet.

The EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, will be in Pristina tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. On Thursday he will make a two-day official visit to Serbia.

– Lajcak decided to visit Belgrade and Pristina with the intention of unlocking the issue of the Union of Serbian Municipalities, a senior EU official familiar with the negotiation process told Tanjug.

The entire dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina is currently stalled due to the refusal of the Albanian side to discuss the implementation of a specific agreement on the JCC.

The EU emphasizes that by signing the agreement in 2013, Pristina also assumed the obligation to implement the agreement on the JCC.
