Radovan Ranisavljević (57), from the village of Svileuva, near Koceljeva, was arrested on suspicion of killing a distant relative and, as suspected, mistress Jasmina Puretić Lazarević (46) with a knife in the house where he lived alone in Barič.
Ranisavljevic was arrested in Sabac on the bridge, where he allegedly tried to commit suicide. As we learn, the murder occurred on Wednesday around 8pm, and the motive will determine what the motive is. There is a suspicion that Radovan and Jasmina were in a relationship and that the crime was committed out of passion.
Threw the knife
– Radovan came by car from Koceljeva, where he lives, brought a ladder and a knife. He entered the victim’s home through the deck at the back of the home. He entered the living room, where, as suspected, he entered into a verbal conflict with the victim, a source familiar with the case told Kurir, adding:
– After the discussion, he stabbed the victim in the left chest and neck with a knife. After doing that she took the knife with her, opened the door and then closed it and got out like nothing happened, got in the car and drove to the bridge in Šabac. Meanwhile, she threw down the knife. Citizens saw him on the bridge at around 10:15 pm and reported the case to the police, explains our well-informed interlocutor.
He adds that the police immediately went to the field and found him on the bridge.
– After the arrest, he told the police what preceded his departure to the bridge, from where he allegedly planned to commit suicide. Police went to verify his story and found the unfortunate woman’s body there about an hour after midnight, Kurir’s source said.
According to him, the motive for the gruesome murder could be jealousy. – He allegedly said that he had been in a relationship with the victim for a long time, but that it was broken when the two became known to be distant relatives. That is, his grandmother is from the Puretić family, of which he is also the late Jasmina, says Kurir’s interlocutor.
Divorce
Jasmina and Radovan are from the same town of Svileuva near Koceljeva and everyone who knows them says they are in shock from everything.
– It was recently rumored in town for both of us. I don’t know what relationship they were in. Jasmina left behind a son and a younger daughter, and Radovan has a daughter, who is married, and a son. Jasmina worked as a cook at KCS, and two months ago she was probably in Germany, so she came back … – says one of Jasmina’s relatives. She explains that Jasmina was in the process of divorce.
– Her husband and children live somewhere in Umka – says a relative.
Radovan was also known as a womanizer.
– His wife left him twice, but probably came back for the kids. He was the president of the local community, and then he moved to the post of head of the Koceljevo municipality general affairs department, one of the neighbors said.
