On September 1, a student with a confirmed coronavirus attended classes at “Vuk Karadzic” primary school in Kragujevac, said the school’s principal, Bojan Konatar.
“This is another irresponsible behavior from the parents,” Konatar told RTS, explaining that the parents sent the girl to school, even though they knew she was in contact with a person who was infected with the coronavirus.
According to him, the sixth grader was in class on the first day of the school year with her sister, and her mother took them to exams on the night of September 1. After that day, the girls did not come to school and they are both isolated.
On the recommendation of the Institute of Public Health, the school disinfected the classroom where students were staying that day, and everyone in that class was ordered to wear masks at all times.
