– Our friend went down to the bunker to try to spread the coal a little with a hoe – his companions tell us.
At one point, his hoe fell off. Ivan tried to reach her, but at that moment several tons of coal collapsed and buried him.
– We immediately tried to get him out, but we realized that we couldn’t help him that way – say the miners.

– We ran to the switch and let the tape move. Everything took between 10 and 12 minutes.
– Those few meters, which lasted the strip to lower the coal, lasted us like years – continue the miners. – Then we saw, first, the legs, then the body and finally the head.
Unfortunately, Cajic showed no signs of life.
TWO DECADES OF EXPERIENCE
Our interlocutors say that Ivan Čajić worked at the “Bo Herzegovina” mine for almost 20 years. His father also worked in that mine and retired from there.
While unloading the coal, our colleague was tied with a rope, as security, but we could not get him out of the amount of that material that covered him – the workers say through tears.
– Ivana was pressured by the amount of three, maybe four tons of coal, and when the tape finally brought him closer, we started unloading the coal. But it was too late.
The miners say that Ivan’s mouth was full of fine coal.
