He was piloting the plane that brought the first aid contingent, and on that occasion, when he landed at the “Nikola Tesla” airport, he got off the plane and displayed the Chinese flag.
Hu Cunjin, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said goodbye to the Air Serbia pilot in a post on his Twitter account.
– We are shocked and sad. Svetislav Vranić, who was the first to fly with the Chinese expert team for Serbia, passed away in Kovid.
On Twitter, he also pointed to a photo of Vranic with a Chinese flag developed at Nikola Tesla Airport, after landing and a successful mission. Then, in the first flight in the corridor of life that lasted thirty hours, this hero brought medical equipment: respirators, medical supplies, masks, disinfectants, as first aid that China sent to Serbia, at the beginning of the pandemic that affected our village.
