Today, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed other world leaders at the Paris Peace Forum, whose main theme is the coronary virus pandemic and its consequences.
At the official ceremony, the President of Serbia brought the question to the fore in a video message: what is the smartest way to protect the world economy in the current crown crisis?
– How to protect our economies? Is it a reasonable solution to inject only money into our economic systems, thus increasing public debt around the world, or should we act in a different way? – Vucic asked.
The President of Serbia also shared photos from the meeting online on his “Budućnostsrbije” Instagram profile.
– It is a great honor and a privilege for me to address you at the inauguration of the Paris Peace Forum. When we talk about the corona virus and the global consequences that this infection has caused, I would like to highlight three key issues. How can we help the pharmaceutical industry around the world to provide the right vaccine as soon as possible? How can we, with mutual solidarity, work towards creating the best possible health systems to protect those who suffer from kovida 19 as well as all other citizens? How to protect our economies – declared the President of Serbia.
Vučić stated that it is necessary to discuss the search for the best economic measures that must be implemented in a responsible and disciplined manner, because we will experience a severe economic crisis only when the pandemic ends.
More than 60 heads of state and government and international organizations delivered video messages at today’s official ceremony.
Speakers at this year’s gathering, which takes place digitally in a joint quest for a collective response to the corona virus pandemic, included Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. .
The main theme of the meeting is the coronary virus pandemic and the consequences of that plague on the economy and the daily lives of citizens, but also the question of what the “post-covid” world will be like.
Since 2018, the Paris Peace Forum is a meeting where heads of state and international organizations, together with representatives of civil society and the private sector, work on the construction of new forms of collective action.
This year, the third edition of the Forum, which will take place from November 11 to 13, will be the first event on the international agenda that will focus on building a better world after the Kovid 19 pandemic, the Embassy of France in Belgrade.
It takes place online, thanks to a platform specifically designed to reproduce the physical experience and allow the entire event to unfold during a pandemic, with more than 10,000 expected participants.
