Dr. Đerlek said that mass vaccination of Serbian citizens is expected in the first quarter of 2021, then emphasized that the first contingent, which will arrive at the end of 2020, will be aimed at health workers and the military.
– Seven days after receiving the second dose of the vaccine, we will be sure that we are safe, but we must continue to be careful. In any case, the appearance of the vaccine in record time is of exceptional importance – said Dr. Djerlek.
He recalled that 20 doses from satellite B arrived yesterday, and that the tests will be reported, as well as that the state will not vaccinate the population with untested drugs.
– We will work in three shifts to check all the documentation, and if our agency does not approve the vaccines, of course we will not buy them. However, I hope that we will receive 350,000 doses by March next year, and I want to remind you that vaccination will be free for citizens, which is something important in such a difficult economic situation.
