The new technology will allow the integration of a hybrid engine, an electromechanical transmission system, an advanced aircraft piloting system and a combined control, which in fact will represent a synergy between the pilot and the artificial intelligence system.
“Such systems are supposed to provide a much more efficient use of aircraft when it comes to the medical evacuation of injured and in distress or the use of helicopter technology in search and rescue operations,” explains Alexander Novikov, general of aviation. Russian.
The helicopters of the future using this technology will be able to stay in the air for up to seven hours, as well as cover a distance of 50 kilometers in just seven minutes, while simultaneously transporting two victims or a medical module and two doctors.
“Additional work on the project will focus on the development of an integrated electromechanical system and equipment, which will be part of the three-dimensional helicopter demonstrator of the future,” added Novikov.
Of course, in addition to the civilian, a version of the helicopter that can carry weapons is being developed. First, the missiles, then the heavy machine guns that will be connected to the targeting radar placed in the pilot’s visor at voice command will act on the targets.
The first serial helicopters of this type are expected in two years.
