When a pedestrian and a locomotive collide, only an unprecedented miracle can save the former. That happiness was seen by Živadinka Joković (68) from Mršinac in 1976, although he had a car, he preferred to go to work on a locomotive that often passes his house.
After what she survived that morning, she is sure that there will be no death without Judgment Day.
– I worked in Kraljevo for three years and traveled there. I’m always a little late, but the drivers knew me and played regularly so I can race. The last thing I thought that morning was: what is there to play when three trains can pass there? – said Zivadinka Jokovic.
But, when something wants to happen, there is almost no salvation. Zivadinka remembers every moment of that distant morning, as he rushed to the station not far from the house in this village of Pomoravlje.

For her family, Zivadinka is a true hero, despite the fact that she worked in the civil service for 35 years without a sick day, and the doctors were shocked by how much she survived that day.
– Everyone was in shock, it was difficult for everyone, perhaps the most difficult for me. The son cried and asked: Why, Mom, did you go by train, why didn’t you go by car? Today, regardless of everything that happened, I am not afraid of the train, but I rarely travel on it. I have been driving a car for 47 years. I worked without illness for 35 years, I brought a blank Occupational Medicine card, and the doctors are surprised by that – said her husband, adding that “it was only the next day that I got scared and started to shake. Left without a woman with a small child? “
Zivadinka’s brother-in-law, Radosav Jokovic, remembers all the details of that fateful but happy morning for this family.
– There was a train crossing in that place, the train conductor saw her and played, but she went to the third track. The train here, when it was a crossing on the second track, would move towards the other, and when the train would cross the other, the conductor would brake but did not stop in time. He caught up with her and hit her, she stayed under the locomotive and even the first car. Luckily, she did not open her arms, the train conductor, when the train stopped, came out to see what was wrong with her and she asked if she had accidentally stained her coat somewhere. The locomotive came and hit her, and she fell between the rails, but she landed so well that the train hit her nowhere and disfigured her. So that not even a train can do anything to him – said the brother-in-law.
