Dragoljub Ciric was born in 1951. He has been a heart patient for many years. In the last year, his condition has worsened and he needs urgent surgery. He was treated at the Vojvodina Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Sremska Kamenica, where he had an operation scheduled, which was canceled at the last minute because it was determined that he belongs to the group of high-risk patients.
The only possibility for Dragoljub is the TAVI PROCEDURE (aortic valve replacement, no incision and trauma, classical surgery is a high-risk solution for these patients), according to the Be Human Foundation website. The method is performed only at the Dedinje Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Belgrade, but the costs are not covered by the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
The family cannot raise the necessary funds for the operation on their own, so they turn to all the people who can help Dragoljub to end this battle successfully.
