He stole fuel from the truck while the drivers slept

BELGRADE – Smederevo police shed light on a series of truck fuel thefts and on that occasion arrested NS (42).

It is suspected that, in the last two months, he stole more than 1,500 liters of diesel fuel from several trucks parked near the “Smederevo Factory” and on the Smederevo-Kovin transit road.

He was suspected of reaching the parking lot on foot at night, taking buckets previously hidden in nearby vegetation and using them to drain fuel from the truck’s tank with his hose, while drivers slept in the cab.

NS went back to hiding the filled buckets in the vegetation and then came to take them away and leave the empty buckets in the same place.

The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought before the Smederevo attorney general, along with a criminal report.
