Who counts the years is afraid! This is what the popular proverb says, but it does not affect Pljevljak Darko Šarić, so he celebrated his 50th birthday with his family and lawyers on October 21 in the custody of the Belgrade Special Court. He was illegally convicted of cocaine trafficking and alleged money laundering, and this is the seventh birthday he is celebrating in prison as he voluntarily turned himself in on March 18, 2014.

– Darko received a cake from his wife Lana at eight in the morning, in which the number 50 was written. His daughter Nikolina (23), whom he got from his first marriage with his wife Natasha (49), and their son Alex (12) came to visit him. , when he married his wife Lana. – Everyone wished Darko would celebrate his next birthday in general. I was especially happy to visit the children. The youngest son, Nick, whom he had in May this year, stayed home with his mother Lana, says our interlocutor.

Darko’s younger sister Danica was unable to visit, so she publicly congratulated him on Instagram.

– You have made my whole life special and beautiful with every word of your support and comfort. Thanks for being the best big brother I could wish for – wrote Danica.

From the first day of his arrest, Saric has been subjected to some kind of special measure. Although he is not in solitary confinement, he has no roommates, he does not meet other detainees even on a walk, visit or in the dining room. Apart from the guards, he only meets lawyers and relatives. Pljevljak is on the first floor of the detention center and a guard is constantly on duty in front of his cell.

– He is cultured and disciplined, he reads and trains. He asks his family for books in the field of psychology and buys all the newspapers. He is mentally strong, but they are killing him because the trial has gone on for years, our source claims.

Lawyer Kljajević: He was presented as a miracle and a black devil!

Lawyer Marko Kljajević stated in his final statements in the proceedings for the alleged “laundering” of 22 million euros of cocaine, that Darko Šarić was presented as a miracle and a black devil, and that someone’s goal was to blacken him! A former judge in the trial for the murder of Zoran Djindjic, and now a well-known lawyer, stated at the end of the trial that the Prosecutor’s Office did not provide a single piece of evidence to prove the allegations in the prosecution. – A simple look at the case could lead to an acquittal without a single evidence! It was very interesting for someone to carry out this process for 10 years, all with the aim of denigrating people and capital! There is absolutely no indication that this capital comes from crime. The accusations and proceedings were carried out illegally. Every law student knows! And the truth is that these two processes should have been judged in unison. Saric introduces himself as a black devil, a miracle! If I hadn’t seen it, I still would have believed it. And he’s been in business his whole life. This indictment was concluded, tiled, and an acquittal verdict is inevitable for the defendants, Kljajević said in his closing remarks.

On July 31, Saric was sentenced to nine years on charges of “laundering” more than 20 million euros from the sale of drugs, and the Court of Appeals should reach a final verdict before the end of the year, according to the which Pljevljak was sentenced to 15 years in prison for alleged cocaine smuggling.

Saric and his defense attorneys have yet to receive a verdict for alleged “money laundering,” as the case is extensive. Immediately after the trial, the defense announced appeals, on which the Belgrade Court of Appeals should give the last word.
