13:47 – Bishop Joanikije: Montenegro is crying and there is someone for whom
– The arrival of so many important personalities, so many priests and monks from all sides in such difficult conditions is a great event, at the height of the great pain that Montenegro experienced. Your arrival is a great comfort to us, when we cry, if we cry together, it is easier for us. And Montenegro is crying, and let him cry, there is someone for whom, but that cry will turn into joy, and everything related to our metropolitan turns into joy – said the bishop and added.
– God gave it to him, and restored Montenegro and its temples, burned incense on each stone, had mercy on each child, fed all who were hungry, respected all and suffered all and caressed all with his love. He was a man of Christ and his theology is the theology of the resurrection – he said.
13:33 – Bećković: I was hoping he would bury me
– I expected him to bury me, but heaven decided that he would fire me and bury him, and I know that I will not and will not be able to do it the way he could. Death only magnifies and magnifies great people and their deeds, and only small souls and their week nullifies them – said Bećković.
– Today begins the second, new and eternal life of Amfilohije Radović. They say that God keeps everyone on earth while he does what he was born to do, the Lord called him at the right time, if he had called him earlier, it would not have been valid. The new Montenegro reborn begins from A. Just as Saint George killed the dragon, our Metropolitan executed the crown – he said.
13:26 – Krivokapić: My greatest joy was our meeting on August 30
– Today is the liturgy of all the liturgies up to now, and today it is directed by none other than our beloved metropolitan. Look one more time at your dear metropolitan people. You resurrected Montenegro. Each meeting with you was a joy and a learning experience. My greatest joy was our meeting on August 30 before midnight. I will carry that hug of yours until the last hour, and I will let the words you spoke resonate in everyone’s heart and said “Bless me.” This is an exceptional loss for the people, but also for all Orthodoxy – said Krivokapić

The Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, said that he believes that today he is on behalf of all the citizens who voted and proposed the new Montenegrin.

13.10 – Patriarch Irinej: The Metropolitan left when he was most needed
– After his enthronement, Metropolitan Amfilohije encountered unsolved problems. He met people far from the faith, most of the monasteries became cattle pens. With God’s help, with the persistent work and effort of Amfilohije, he cleared the weeds in the Lord’s field with apostolic courage. Instead of goat and sheep bells, church bells rang. In a relatively short time, Montenegro was spiritually resurrected and became an example for the Serbian church and people. With Metropolitan Amfilohije at the helm, she had the strength to withstand all challenges. He was the initiator of spiritual renewals in Montenegro, his name will be written in golden letters in history – said Serbian Patriarch Irinej.
The patriarch noted that the metropolitan Amfilohije was esteemed “in all orthodoxy.”
– It is at the top of the Serbian theology of our time, it is appreciated in all orthodoxy. As a representative of our church, he participated in numerous meetings around the world. The news of his death quickly reached all the Orthodox churches. With his rest, he leaves a great feast in the life of our church, especially in Montenegro. He left at a time when Montenegro and the Serbian people most needed his presence, he said.
