A patient (64) who is being treated for the corona virus at the Nis Clinical Center, was attacked today by the medical staff of this health institution.

It turns out that the incident happened around 11 o’clock in the intensive care unit of the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

– The patient, in a visibly altered state, broke the equipment to which he was connected, and then attacked the doctors and nurses, kicking and kicking them. After that, he began to run towards the exit of the clinic, but thanks to the intervention of the security service and medical personnel, he was overcome and returned to the intensive care unit without injuries, say the interlocutors familiar with this case.

Fortunately, none of the medical staff was seriously injured and a psychiatrist was called to the center to provide the necessary assistance to the patient who attacked him.

The management of the Nis Clinical Center strongly condemned this incident.

– In a situation where medical personnel invest superhuman efforts to save human lives and preserve the health of the population, such events are inadmissible. With the knowledge of the patient’s illness and the consequences caused by the drop in blood saturation due to corona virus infection, we must point out that such behavior is extremely unacceptable. We call on citizens to have understanding and respect for what these people do, who are risking their lives and health to save theirs, this health institution announced.

The police were also informed about this fact.
