NIS – A small number of Nis citizens gathered today in the city’s central square, outraged by last night’s accident on Mediana Boulevard, when the driver of the car ran off the road and killed pedestrians Andrej Prekljusaj (12) and Dejan Ilic (48).
Nishlija Milan Miljković said that citizens spontaneously gathered because they want to get in the way of arrogant drivers.
“Our demand is to take care of people who behave like this in traffic, someone has to avoid arrogance. We all know what this is about. One class of people can do what they want and others cannot,” he said. Miljkovic for the Beta agency.
He said residents of Nis witnessed the young man who caused the accident driving fast through the city for days, and no one stopped him.
“Why didn’t they stop him? Because the boy was driving an angry car. They were afraid to stop him and tell him not to drive fast through the city. That’s the problem,” Miljković said.
The Nis police arrested a driver (19) from Belgrade today due to a well-founded suspicion that he committed a serious act against road safety.
