Bora harrow left us yesterday, and the whole region is retelling legends about a famous singer who will always be great, from Vardar to Triglav! Just a few days ago, Bora gave her last interview for Kurir and in an emotional confession for our readers, she spoke about childhood, woman, her long career, but also illness and death. Many knew the tavern side of the life story firsthand, enjoying the fun and company of the legendary Harrow.
– They don’t tell me for free: “Congratulations teacher!” People love me. Both young and old. Women in particular. Always open, honest, without a hair on the tongue, and people recognized him. Wherever I go, people stop me, they want to take pictures with me, I’m interesting to them, what do I know? The Old Wolf spoke for Kurir’s readers.
And tonight Boža Spasić, a famous retired DB operative, told another great story. It was never known that the entire career of the famous Drljaca was in danger. Until tonight.
– We found Bora Drljaca in the “Evropa” tavern, somewhere in the Munich bar in 1986. She sang for 5,000 days! In the tavern, our guest workers, thieves and robbers, dangubs, snitches from all possible services and policemen, drunkards – says Boža Spasić and adds: Bora sings her repertoire and people enjoy it.
– However, a drunkard ordered a partisan song “Zlatibor spreads branches”. Bora is a niece, but she sings it. Upon my return to Belgrade, I received a dispatch from Sarajevo. Write that he is a pop singer Bora harrow sang Chetnik songs in a Munich tavern. I thought what our people are to you. I threw the office in the trash … – concluded Boža Spasić.
For the less informed, all those who sang to the Chetnik diaspora abroad, that is, they sang Chetnik songs, would be banned from all televisions and radio stations upon their return to the SFRY, which were very few on the way. Many singers would be tricked into singing to the Chetniks, and then they would be punished when they returned to Yugoslavia.
However, there were many false reports, as well as this one about Bora Drljaca. Someone was jealous of Bor, or someone from the Ustasha falsely informed our DB that Drljaca was singing for the Chetniks. Fortunately, Boža Spasić was on the scene and ruined the evil people’s business. And Bora the Old Wolf continued to rejoice with us for many more summers.
