Ž. M. (49) from Smederevska Palanka was arrested on suspicion of persecuting a fellow citizen, but also because he was illegally keeping arms and ammunition.
The Smederevo Police Administration’s announcement specifies that it is suspected of sending messages of inappropriate content to fellow citizens several times in the previous period from a hidden phone number.
During the search at the suspect’s apartment, the police found three pistols, a hunting carbine, an optical sight and 102 bullets of various calibers, which he was holding without permission.
He is charged with the crimes of persecution and the illicit production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives.
He was ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought before the Smederevo attorney general, along with a criminal report.
