He called the manager and said he had to admit: this is how the police discovered that the body of the missing Aleksandar was in the well.

Velinović behaved in the most normal manner and told everyone that he had bought the apartment.

– We assumed that he took Aleksandar’s apartment for fraud, but it occurred to no one that he had killed him. Usually he came to the apartment, he even brought girls. We knew he was drugged – said the neighbor.

The crime was discovered a year and a half later, after Velinović admitted the crime to the police while in prison for drugs because he often dreamed of Aleksandar.

– Radovan Velinović is currently serving a prison sentence for drugs. He has been in prison since April this year and has been unable to sleep for the past month. He kept repeating that he was possessed by a ghost. It is presumed that he had fallen into a drug crisis, until at one point he asked the prison administration to call the police because he had to admit something, says a source close to the investigation.

The Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions immediately contacted the police and Radovan Velinović was questioned, and his confession left everyone in shock.

– He told in detail how he killed his emotional partner, at his late aunt’s weekend home in the village of Konatica near Obrenovac. He committed the crime a year and a half ago after he and Aleksandar had a fight over narcotics, the source stated, adding:

– After an argument, Radovan left the house and took a brick in the yard. He returned to the dungeon and hit Alexander on the head with all his might. The unfortunate Randjelovic was killed on the spot.

When he saw what he had done, Radovan Velinović allegedly dragged the body into the well and threw it inside.

– He threw a large amount of bricks and debris on the body of the murdered man, and then left. He was subsequently arrested for drugs and at the time no one knew that he had killed the young man. This crime would probably never have been discovered because Aleksandar had no family, so he had no one to report his disappearance.

– I’ve known Radovan since childhood. He was a little lonely, but yeah, I can’t believe he killed a man. In recent years, none of us have seen Radovan come to his late aunt’s cabin. I remember that while her aunt was alive, she used to be here during the summer. As far as I know, Radovan worked as a driver and when he was fired, he worked at a gas station in Baljevac for a time. He took company and started using drugs. That’s how it ended – said a Konatica resident.
