BELGRADE – The Prosecutor’s Office against Organized Crime filed another accusation against the majority owner of the “Jovanjica” farm, Predrag Koluvija, which includes eight more people, arrested in July this year in the continuation of the investigation into the production of marijuana on that property.
In addition to Koluvuja, who is accused of organizing this group, Aleksandar Tošić, Branislav Radosavljević, Radovan Bojović, Milan Kendija, Sasa Vujisić, Zoran Baštovanović, Miloš Teofilović and Slaviša Milinković are also accused.
The accusation was submitted to the Special Department for Organized Crime of the Belgrade High Court for confirmation, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
Koluvija is in custody, Vujisic is on the run and the other defendants are defending themselves for freedom. Predrag Koluvija is accused for association with the purpose of committing criminal acts and falsifying a document, while he is already being tried for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs in another proceeding that began in November 2019.
Aleksandar Tošić He is accused of associating with the purpose of committing crimes in conjunction with the crime of illicit production and distribution of narcotics, as well as for violating the Long-Term Secrecy Law.
Branislav Radosavljević is charged with association for the purpose of committing crimes related to the crime of illicit production and distribution of narcotic drugs, as well as unauthorized possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
Radovan Bojović and Milan Kendija are charged with associating to commit criminal acts in conjunction with the crime of illicit production and distribution of narcotic drugs, and Sasa Vujisić for the same acts plus the falsification of an official document.
Zoran Baštovanović and Slaviša Milinković are charged with conspiracy to commit crimes related to the crime of illicit production and distribution of narcotic drugs, and Miloš Teofilović for the same crimes plus special cases of falsification of documents.
All except Koluvija are defending themselves for freedom because their arrest was lifted on September 18.
Koluvija, as well as eight other detainees in November 2019, are still in custody and their trial began in October. After the arrest of the second part of the suspects, the prosecution announced in July that the members of this criminal group organized from the beginning of 2019 until November 14, 2019, committed the criminal acts declared by order of the organizers – Predrag Koluivija.
After the arrest in November, it was announced that members of the Interior Ministry entered the “Jovanjica” farm near Stara Pazova on the orders of the prosecution and found an illegal laboratory for the production of marijuana under artificial conditions.
At that time, 649.4 kilograms of dried marijuana and 65,581 stems of this narcotic were seized in the raw state, weighing almost four tons.
