In the villages around Sjenica, the snow has not stopped for hours, some villages have been completely cut off from the main road and around 1,000 residents have been without power due to the storm.

The regional roads to Novi Pazar, Ivanjica and Nova Varoš are passable, but several villages in the area of ​​local communities: Bare, Karajukiće Bunari, Kladinica and Lopiže, are blocked by snow.

Tonight, the wind is also blowing in Nis, where visibility has been reduced due to a heavy snowstorm, so authorities urge caution when driving.

Today the first snow fell in the mountains around Prijepolje, making traffic difficult.

The town of Jabuka is covered in snow. The rain that fell for several hours last night turned into sleet and snow, thus forming a 6-inch layer in Jabuka.

Today it also rained in Vrnjačka Banja, where the white blanket surprised the local population. In the areas around Vrnjacka Banja, no problems were reported due to snowfall.

As can be seen from the recordings posted on social media, it is also in the favorite winter destination in Serbia – in Kopaonik.

As meteorologists announced, overnight in southwestern Serbia, a layer of snow 5 to 15 cm high will be created, in the mountains 15 to 25 cm.

From Monday to Wednesday in the south of Banat, a strong southeast wind (košava), occasionally stormy forces with a maximum speed of 24 to 28 m / s. The warning is valid until December 28.
