The trial of PJ (43) of Stara Pazova and NS (51) of Temerin, accused of stealing an expensive violin from music artist Lajko Felix, is scheduled for September 22.

As Dnevnik learned, the two defendants remained in his defense at the preparatory hearing for not participating in the theft of instruments, while the Prosecutor’s Office repeated the allegations of the prosecution.

According to unofficial information on this portal, the defense lawyers of the two defendants proposed that the judicial process in the Becej court be merged with the judicial process in Stara Pazova for some other criminal acts, because they allegedly entered into a plea agreement there, but still pending it is unknown if this proposal will be adopted.

As a reminder, an expensive violin, of the brand “Domenico Montano”, was stolen on November 1, 2019 in Backi Petrovo Selo, and was found unharmed a month and a half later in Novi Banovci. As we wrote before, its value is estimated at 500,000 euros.

Police arrested two defendants and the brother of one of the defendants was arrested on December 31. He made a plea deal, for which he was sentenced to six months of house arrest, writes Dnevnik.

An expensive instrument from the 1800s, a musician often called “Paganini of Vojvodina”, was stolen from a parked car. It is a very rare instrument, of which there are only 15 in the whole world.
