We have to recover “Torlak”, it is important for the country as an army and police, the director of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia Danica Grujicic told RTS and appreciated that it is very good to have vaccines against coronavirus from various manufacturers, so that everyone they can choose which one. wants to receive.

She believes it would be better if we partner with Russia to have “Torlak” produce a vaccine under their license.

Grujicic said that he hopes the measures will be respected during the New Year holidays.

“I was on call at the Emergency Center for the last three days and there was chaos from four in the afternoon on December 31 to two in the morning on January 1. After that, they calmed down. “They were mostly trauma patients,” Grujicic said.

However, he added, the majority understood the importance of respecting the measures.

“I think there are many more incarcerations for people and they think that if they last a few more months, I am deeply convinced that from March it will definitely be better, even if the mass immunization starts, it will be great. Most have now realized that it is better to wait another two months and then live normally as we did, and each of us wants to hang out, we are social beings ”, adds the doctor.

When asked if the epidemic has begun to subside, he said he believes it has and that vaccines give more hope.

“What I want to praise: Serbia has allowed the acquisition of various types of vaccines. Precisely for all the stories that the vaccine is worth, whoever believes in that vaccine should receive it. I think it is very good to have vaccines from various manufacturers, so let everyone choose the one they want, ”said Grujicic.

He also thinks that it is unwise for people who have had the coronavirus and have antibodies to now receive the vaccine.

“Those of us who have been lying down and have IGG, I belong to them, we must wait until we lose those antibodies, then we put them in the form of a vaccine, and now they must receive those critical groups of the population,” says the doctor.

He stressed that vaccination is the most important thing to prevent further spread of the virus.

“The best thing would be if we partner with the Russians to produce our ‘Torlak’, and that is absolutely paramount to me,” Grujicic said.

When asked which vaccine the Russian or the ‘Torlakov’ would receive, Grujicic always prefers the ‘Torlak’ because it is ours, but the license is Russian.

“It is important that our people produce, that they support what they have produced, because that gives people the confidence that if you produced the vaccine and you give me, the vaccine is safe,” he said.

He noted that despite the vaccination, we will have to wear masks and keep the mask for some time, especially in hospitals and in situations where you have serious patients, everyone must comply with hygiene measures.

“What this epidemic has shown well is that we have to bathe, wash our hair, wash our hands frequently, take care of personal hygiene. “How good it would be if all the citizens of this country had the conditions to do it every day,” added the doctor.

Our conditions for the treatment of cancer patients belong to the beginning of the 20th century.

She highlighted the importance of building Oncology 2, because the current conditions for the treatment of cancer patients, as she says, belong to the beginning of the 20th century.

“What makes me happy is the support we have from the Ministry. We have already submitted an application to change the urban plan. “The Institute of Oncology and Radiology, considering that it used to be part of the Clinical Center, it cannot be built on a meadow, it must be next to the Serbian Clinical Center, where most of the oncology operations are performed,” Grujicic said.

He points out that the newer and more expensive machines should be purchased.

“We are a poor country and we cannot afford to buy old technology for which there will be no parts in two years. We always have to buy the most modern machines ”, concludes Grujicic.
