Today, after a meeting with the American delegation, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić told reporters that the Special Representative of the President of the United States, Richard Grenel, came up with the idea of jointly renewing the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense, which were otherwise damaged during the NATO bombing.
“Grenel came up with the idea, we talked about it briefly, how to jointly renovate the building of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. It is important and valuable, of course, to preserve the historical architectural forms, in line with the fact that the building it is under state and city protection. ” Vucic said.
The buildings of the General Staff of the Serbian Army and the Ministry of Defense in Belgrade were built between 1955 and 1965, and were beaten and damaged during the NATO aggression in 1999.
