Sources from Gazeta Express indicated that his visit was aimed at verifying progress in the implementation of the September 4 agreement at the White House in order to normalize economic relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

Will Richard Grenel come to Kosovo?

Richard Grenel arrives in Kosovo to visit him in order to implement the agreement reached at the White House between Kosovo and Serbia. Grenel will come to Kosovo with 13 other US officials who will present projects for Kosovo and the region within the agreement reached with Serbia.

Kosovo and Serbia signed an economic normalization agreement on September 4, which is considered historic in that it opens the way to the normalization of economic relations between the two countries and opens the way for investments throughout the region, including roads, railways and gas.
Pristina media speculate that Grenel “will bring good news such as the abolition of US visas for Kosovo residents.”

It should be remembered that shortly after the signing of the documents in Washington, the Belgrade official announced the arrival of the representatives of the American International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the opening of the office of this corporation in Belgrade for September 21. DFC, as well as the Export-Import Bank, signed letters of intent with representatives of Belgrade and Pristina to finance the construction of the “highway of peace”, which will connect Nis and Pristina. At that time, it was also announced that at the end of the month, together with the DFC delegation, a delegation from the Export-Import Bank will visit Belgrade, but also Pristina, precisely for the realization of this and other projects.

As announced on Twitter, the US President’s Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Richard Grenel will also visit Belgrade after Pristina.
