GREECE IS NOT YET UPLOADING RAM: Entry ban for foreigners valid until January 7

This decision is valid for the period from December 15 to January 7.

Based on the joint ministerial decision of the Greek government of December 12, 2020, a ban on the entry of foreign nationals to Greece is in force, in order to prevent further spread of the Covid-19 virus.

This prohibition does not apply to citizens of EU member states or Schengen countries.

The ban does not apply to medical personnel, researchers and healthcare professionals, as long as their entry into Greece for commercial purposes, people who have been residing in an EU Member State or the Schengen area for a long time, as well like people who have a residence permit. in the EU Member States or in the Schengen area.

Furthermore, this prohibition does not apply to members of the state delegation, personnel of diplomatic and consular missions and delegations, personnel of international and European institutions, members of humanitarian organizations during activities, military personnel and members of the security forces or the Greek Civil Protection General Secretariat.

The prohibition does not apply to employees in the field of transportation, including maritime and river traffic, aircraft crews, crews and technical personnel of firefighting aircraft, as well as truck drivers who are in transit to transport goods, as well as the personnel absolutely necessary for their transport.

This Greek government decision does not apply to transit passengers, students studying in Greece, people who care for the elderly and people with special needs, as well as seasonal agricultural workers.
