In less than two months, more than 188,000 people over 65 have been vaccinated, Stanisavljevic told TV Vesti.

– Daily we monitor the results of immunization, and when we notice that in suburban municipalities and their divided parts we have a lower percentage of vaccinated elderly, we organize mobile teams to help them request immunization. In cooperation with health centers, checkpoints are being organized in those places, because we do not want to allow someone, because they live in remote parts of the municipalities, not to be vaccinated, said Secretary Stanisavljević.

According to the Belgrade City Information Secretariat, it added that 52 points were organized in those parts of the city.

So far, he said, more than 5,000 citizens have been vaccinated at mobile checkpoints.

– The biggest thanks to the doctors and nurses who are in the field to protect the health of the elderly. Thus, as one of the communication channels, the brochure of the Municipal Institute of Public Health was chosen, which is delivered to the elderly in the field in order to have all the necessary information. We are their service and they know they can count on the City of Belgrade. We will be in the field for as long as necessary. Our campaign is to come back to life and return to the way of life we are used to – said the secretary.

According to her, the priority of the city of Belgrade is to support immunization and protect the health of older citizens.

– Consequently, the first thing we did was launch call centers in all municipalities on January 18 so that older people, who do not know how to apply, have volunteers, when they call a number that can help them and report the portal. electronic government. If they needed transportation, have someone come to their house, transport them to the vaccination site and then bring them back, and that was possible – he explained.

Stanisavljevic said that there are brochures with important information in the Roma language and stated that it is important to find the correct way to communicate with people living in informal settlements.

– In addition to the mobile teams that help older citizens, special mobile teams have been formed, and we also held a meeting with all the coordinators of Roma issues in our municipalities. We also have the support of the Ministry of Health in the form of health mediators who help bring health care closer to informal settlements, and we also have the support of Red Cross volunteers – he adds.

Mobile teams, as he said, visit these settlements, distribute brochures in Serbian and Roma and, in cooperation with health centers, there are also vaccination points.

Regarding the social protection sector, Stanisavljevic said that he is proud that more than 1,800 employees and users have been vaccinated.

– Our employees have been working with clients all the time. So far, we have not had a single image of kovid 19 in the Belgrade Shelter for Children, the Shelter for the Homeless, and the social workers and caregivers working in those institutions are responsible for that. We have a large percentage of vaccinated users and more than 91 percent of people have been vaccinated at the Homeless Shelter. We also organize vaccination in living rooms, which is why more than 76 young people and adults with developmental disabilities were vaccinated – said Stanisavljević.

Both doses were received by 47% of Lazarevci residents.

Lazarevac Municipality President Bojan Stević said that he was satisfied with the response of the citizens of that municipality to vaccination and that seven checkpoints were organized for this purpose.
