As we wrote earlier, the body of the old woman was found with a knife stuck in her chest, and next to it was a farewell letter. He said he could no longer bear the terrible pressure he had been under from the moment he killed the investor. She also claims that she and her son are alone. In a farewell letter, the old woman begs her son to forgive her.

Let us remember the previous event that surprised Serbia, and that is the murder that Grandma Coka committed. That is, in September 2018, grandmother Coka killed an investor with a pistol, who allegedly threatened and blackmailed her on several occasions to sell him land and a house in Zvezdara, where he wanted to build, to which she did not agree agreement. She shot him in the neck and stomach, and then in the head, after which he put the gun back in the bag, went home and went to bed. Baba Coka was in custody, which in the meantime was replaced by house arrest with a nanny due to her age and illness.

Various situations showed that this woman’s health was unstable. She was recently hospitalized because she took more medication than she should have, but the doctor’s quick reaction saved her.
On the occasion of the incident, Grandma Coke’s first neighbor, Radenko Stanković, also said that Stojanka Stojanović was immobile and that her son was found with a knife to his chest, around 6 p.m. when he was returning from the city.

– He had hip surgery and could no longer stand. She was in the hospital and they just pulled her out of the car on a blanket. He was in a very serious condition, he suddenly collapsed. From that strong woman, he suddenly collapsed. She probably didn’t want to torture her son anymore and she judged for herself – said Radenko.

It has not yet been determined whether it was a murder or a suicide, although it is leading to the unfortunate woman taking her own life.

An unfortunate event that shocked the entire region was the suicide of the cosmetic surgeon Dr. Violeta Ashanin, which is very similar to the case of Grandma Coke. Many associate these two cases, although there may not be many similarities. The ways in which it was carried out coincide, both of them “shortened their torments” by sticking a knife in their chest. Each, of course, had their own problems, but in the end the same thing happened. The question is always, how did someone decide on such an act?

We spoke with experts who explained to Alo.rs how the unfortunate circumstances occurred. The criminologist Zlatko Nikolić estimated that it was a schizophrenic disorder.

I told him that the woman, when I saw the video, was schizophrenic and that she had a serious medical record that lay people should not enter because I do not know the diagnosis. However, based on the facts that I know of, schizophrenic behavior and those schizophrenic murders are known. You remember Dr. Violeta Ashanin. The unfortunate fact only confirmed that this is the category of “killers with a smile”, a purely psychiatric category. The lawyers stuck their fingers in and you see what happened – Nikolic explained.

As our interlocutor previously said, according to Emil Durkheim, there are 4 categories of suicide in social pathology, and this event can be classified as fatalistic suicide (it is believed that it is caused by an excessively strict social disposition that basically restricts the freedom of the individual. Such victims “they believe they do not have a suitable future for life”).

Nikolic explained to us that “the hand does not rise” on itself like this, because there is that biological mechanism to defend ourselves when we are attacked, much less to attack ourselves, and that there is always a bigger problem. Everyone has a problem in their spheres of life, they are not always satisfied with themselves.

Even in one of the previous conversations, Dr. Radomir Colaković, professor of psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in East Sarajevo, explained that it is very important to ask someone what has changed in the last month, and that in severe clinical cases of depression the path can lead them to a psychotic realm, hallucinations, carelessness, madness. Depression leads to the development of certain psychotic symptoms, which are already insane. Their concentration is decreasing, they are confused, sad, they are not the people they used to be.

Alo.rs also spoke with psychologist Aleksandra Janković, who said that there are people who can skillfully and specifically cover up their basic condition, even if it is depressing, and that some of their feelings of depression, anxiety, some signs of bad mood can be attributed to other topics. and circumstances.

– I honestly don’t see a connection between Violeta and Grandma Coke. What is a fact is that even the previous appearances of Grandma Coke show that this woman was not intimidated, that she was brave. The choice and manner of suicide, which is a reflection of that. What this is really about, I really don’t know. He certainly has some medical history. His performance and our amazement when Grandma pointed a gun at that man, and it’s strange that she reacted that way. On the one hand, he did have mental problems and I think that the environment noticed that he behaved differently, but it is also a fact and numerous circumstances of life. It is very possible that she had the experience that she had been cheated, that she had been robbed. In part, he has some support for reality, but his way of justifying it was probably paranoid. And the interpretation of all that, if the initial link is correct, unfortunately everything else is distorted within that psychopathology. In essence, he received those measurements, but it is obvious that there he could not bear anything. Of course, after that event, nothing could be the same. Nothing happened in his life after that that could have been good – Janković told us.

Psychologist Aleksandra Janković explains that people of that age often have this experience of fear of death and disease.

– It’s all desperate, but on the other hand there is a serious message to the public and a call to take care of the people who live around us. There are people who suffer from mental illness and are alone, and instead of excluding them from our environment, it was not bad to deal with them. The unfortunate woman resorted for the first time, for the second time with herself, to things that definitely represent a slap in the face to the environment, which, unfortunately, except for condemnation or exclusion or true social isolation of a person, hardly undertakes anything else. We must be careful and realize that there are people around us with big problems. Often, in one way or another, they warn us and call our attention to the fact that something is wrong and that they do not feel well, and we attribute all these gestures to old age. We cannot so easily rule out those most vulnerable categories of our population. In the end, the point came when he broke that life was in vain and that he would end his suffering, explains Janković for Alo.rs.

Man is not destined to kill himself. Through a few small signals you can tell that something is happening. Perhaps there is excessive worry about the future, the person feels threatened, or one of the many problems they are facing, no matter how harmless it may seem. Psychologist Aleksandra Janković says that there is a possibility that when a person falls into a disease, in various psychological states, the environment still reacts, but that there is another problem that has not been eradicated.

The problem is that all other types of illnesses are treated regularly, and when it comes to mental illnesses, people are stigmatized. Perhaps that is the message of all this chaos. Especially in this current situation when the number of suicides grows, where people, faced with the disease and the possibility of getting sick, will not have anyone to take care of them, they are not far from thinking that they could end their suffering. It is important to be empathetic and receptive, not to let people who are in trouble be at your mercy. – appealed Dr. Janković.

The point we can make is that we must communicate more, but especially when we think it is not important or harmless. It is not a shame to ask for help and ask for it, which is the first step we have to take, as well as constantly working on ourselves and knowing our own mind. Open your eyes wide because a person with serious difficulties may be by your side.
