Afraid and afraid of the first snow, in a dilapidated house with a collapsed roof, Božana Aleksić happily replaced in his new home. Božana is getting used to a more pleasant and secure old age in her new home.
“Everyone blinked and I was nice to everyone … They did, they are everything,” says Božana.
His daughter Milena Aleksić says that people responded from all sides.
“Congratulations to them. I greet these people again and wish them all the best, that they are all healthy and that they do not need the help of anyone like my mother,” adds Milena.
Economically, in construction material or on site, the action was supported by Kosjerci, the local self-government, but also by people from all over the world.
“When I found out about this action, Branko called me and I accepted with pleasure and with pleasure I accept every time. This is just a drop in the bucket that we help my grandmother and the next one that will be and we will always respond this time”, Srecko notes. Božić, plumber from Kosjerić.
“It is painstaking work, it requires a lot of sacrifices, but it couldn’t be given up when people started giving money and collecting. I saw there was an opportunity to do it and we succeeded,” says Danilo Radosavljević Đaka, a local community councilor.
Kosjerić’s photojournalist and cameraman Branko Ostojić notes that it is commendable to show so much love for a man in such a short time.
“Everyone who gave everything they could was built into the walls of this house, which will warm this grandmother, for a long, long time,” adds Branko.
And although Božana is now safe, the initiators announce the continuation of the action: preparing firewood for the winter and working on the insulation of the house.
