The arrested Goran Papić, a former deputy director of SBPOK and a close associate of former Secretary of State Dijana Hrkalović, made breakneck progress in the Interior Ministry and, as his position and power grew, his arrogance increased.

Papić came to the Interior Ministry in 2014 with a high school diploma and worked in the security department, says a Kurir source from the Interior Ministry. Sometimes, he adds, Hrkalovićka drove and his salary was around 55,000 dinars.

– However, he quickly got involved in activities with Hrkalović and progressed quickly, and then began to show off. Just one year later, in 2015, he bought a new Honda for more than € 25,000 and paid for it in cash. When he was promoted to SBPOK, he was able to drive one of the best official BMWs, says a source in Kurir close to the Interior Ministry.

At one point, many in SBPOK were deprived of their official cars, no one took them home, only Papić was protected and was driving a car privately.

– The moment he got stronger, he changed people the way he wanted, only for Diana Hrkalović to nod her head. Once he and a colleague went to Sarajevo in two cars. Papić was also caught on the “Fame” radar driving 190 km per hour. It was between Sabac and Loznica, and since the policemen insisted on punishment, because it was a violent impulse, and he had no coverage, he tried to accuse his colleague. He asked him to tell the MUP he was driving. As the man did not want to do that, because he did not even have a warrant for that car, Papić replaced him – says our interlocutor.

Also, how arrogant Goran Papić was, but also paranoid, because he was aware of all the illegalities he was doing, is shown by his reaction when he saw tourists with a camera in Belgrade.

– At the Gazelle, he noticed that a foreigner was taking pictures of Belgrade, but the camera was also pointing at him. He was so paranoid that someone was filming and stalking him that he took a man to MUP Makiš for questioning. He brought him with his family, it turned out that the people were tourists from the Netherlands, and Papić mistreated them all – says our interlocutor.
