The provincial health secretary and member of the crisis staff in the fight against the coronavirus, Zoran Gojković, stated that they would discuss the introduction of quarantine for people returning from vacation from abroad at the crisis staff session on Monday.
“We will see how and how we solve this problem, because our interest and objective is to get a greater number of infected people in autumn as late as possible, because we know that the winter period affects viruses. We have to buy more time,” Gojkovic told TV Pink.
He stated that a double digit number of patients is recorded in a longer interval, which is sometimes larger, sometimes smaller.
“We ourselves said that in September we have serious threats by which that number could increase. First of all, it is the departure of children to school, the return of students to dormitories, where we already have individual cases that can become a much higher number of patients if the measures we have introduced are not being implemented, “Gojković said.
He pointed out that a special problem is the return of our citizens from the region where the epidemiological situation is much worse in relation to Serbia, emphasizing that it is very important to strictly implement the measures that produced results.
