Godfrey said that he was not satisfied with the level of economic cooperation between Serbia and the United States, because he wanted it to be even greater and better, and that he was very happy that the American development agency DFC came to Serbia.

“We are all in the plans. We are working hard on that, trying to get everything ready so that we can start working immediately. This is a new page in our history of cooperation,” he added.

According to Godfrey, the joint history of Serbia and the United States has been going on for a long time, and part of that cooperation is Operation Halliard, whose anniversary will be commemorated next week.

“I will also attend the anniversary commemoration,” announced Godfrey, who expressed his hope that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will visit Serbia soon, “said the ambassador.

According to him, the issue of diversification of gas supply sources, which was found in one of the points of the agreement signed in Washington, is important for everyone.

“We cannot depend on a single source of energy. This is an important political issue. It is clear that Russia uses dependence on a single source of energy as an instrument to achieve political goals. It is important that Serbia has freedom of choice based on its own interests and objectives “. Godfrey concluded.
