Sheki Turkovic was cruel and unjustly notorious three decades ago, when a girl accused him of raping her. Although there was a misunderstanding, it is clear that the singer could have been seriously injured until the truth is proven.
A nineteen-year-old named Senija, who moved to Sarajevo immediately before that, went to the police and reported the singer for rape.
However, he mistook popular folks for one of his anonymous colleagues.
That is, the unrealized star, one Bejto Fehratović, lured the girl to the car, and he succeeded only because he looked so much like Turković. As it was written at that time, the unfortunate girl, in addition to being abused, was also assaulted, and when she went to the police, she denounced, of course, Šekija Turković.

At that time, the Sarajevo police had trouble finding a singer with that name, because his real name is Šućro Turković. However, the noose around Sheki was tightening, but he said that only agreed and signed performances saved him.
– Fortunately, in those controversial days, I had signed contracts with Dobrivoje Marinski, who was touring Serbia for me. It was easy to test everything on the SUP, and I tried it very quickly – he explained in an interview for the national media in 1990, still a popular singer, that he was neither guilty nor forced to be the target.
