Srbijagas CEO Dusan Bajatovic announced today that by mid-2022 Belgrade will be fully gasified and that this will bring significant savings and reduce pollution, which, as he says, is now the largest in the capital due to a large amount of individual ovens.
Bajatović said gasification is currently underway at Zemun and Grocka and is being completed at Rakovica.
“Recently, we traveled a kilometer and a half along the gas pipeline near the” Eternal Flame “monument, schools and sports halls are nearby, and only in that part 15,000 tons less fuel will be consumed, and heating will be significantly cheaper”, Bajatović told television. Pink.
He stated that Srbijagas was given the task of carrying out gasification throughout the country by the state leadership, adding that that would include the Serbian government.
“We have already made some districts, but we often have a problem with administrative obstacles, the cadastre, many times we do not know the owners,” said Bajatović.
He noted that, thanks to Balkan Stream, Serbia will supply well with gas, in addition to counting on the completion of Nord Stream 2.
“As the amounts of gas to be produced in Europe decrease, the need for Russian gas in Europe will certainly grow, because American gas is far away and not there. “13.88 billion cubic meters of gas enters Serbia annually and we will be well supplied,” emphasized Bajatović.
As he said, the price of gas has not yet been negotiated, but every dollar that is saved and earned from exports is important.
“If you were buying gas on the TTF stock exchange today, you would pay $ 240 and the price of gas at the Serbian-Bulgarian border is $ 155 (per 1,000 cubic meters of gas),” said the director of Srbijagas.
He added that all interested consumers in Serbia will receive a gas connection and complete equipment at a price of 780 euros, for three years.
Bajatović said that gas will be extracted near Paraćin, Pancevo and Gospodjinac, noting that gasification is an important asset in attracting foreign investors to the country.
“Anyone who wants to invest is interested in supplying gas. At Leskovac, we are working extraordinarily for ‘Aptiv’, where 2,500 people should start working next year.” Vojvodina is practically completely gasified and we have the largest investments in the province, “Bajatović said.
