Crisis personnel have made the decision to propose to the government that high schools transfer to online classes starting Monday.

Crisis staff member Dr. Predrag Kon said the next crisis staff meeting will be held on Tuesday.

Kon stated that vaccination will continue in its course and that it is the most important preventive measure, which is more important than any closure.

“We are entering the next phase of vaccination, so there will be more and more calls from citizens for the simple reason that only this immunity barrier can stop this,” Kon said during his speech to the media.

He added that the immunity obtained by the vaccine is “probably more durable than the immunity obtained after the disease,” and that asymptomatic cases do not receive permanent immunity.

Responding to reporters’ question, Kon noted that there were “vigorous exchanges of views” during the session, but that the results of the session were the measures he announced.

“Tuesday is a continuation. The seat of the crisis continues. The important thing is that call for vaccination. Why? Because a really long-term closure does not seem to be an option for Serbia, as we see it here, but so does it. It is impossible not to react to such an increase in virus activity, and this is currently the solution with which I present myself to the public in front of the Crisis Staff, ”said Kon.

More details coming soon …
