As soon as he rose from the ministerial chair, speculation arose that the new speaker of the Serbian Parliament would have to sit at the forefront of the dialogue between the government and the opposition. Dacic says he is ready for such a task, which the state president also spoke about. And the opposition has different views on how to achieve fair and honest elections.
Is this the dynamics of different opinions in the new parliament, announced so many times?
“Now I don’t know what it was like before in terms of the number of votes with which the speaker of parliament was elected, but this is a great confidence that I received,” Dacic said.
And while Dacic enjoys great confidence, the advice comes that such a change in role is accompanied by a mandatory change in the musical repertoire.
“Maybe I should go to the White Button a bit and sing now. I agreed, I’ll be all I want,” says journalist Vesna Mališić.
“Dacic was removed from the executive power, very simply and transferred to the parliament in which he will have nothing to do because it is a unitary parliament in which there is no opposition,” said journalist Andrej Ivanji.
They say that the situation of the government without the opposition is unsustainable, and that is why the dialogue between the two parties is gradually becoming an obligation on the political agenda for 2021. That is, a new bridge must be built over Miljacka.
“As the president said he did not want to talk to the opposition, then he found a bridge that can be talked about, and that is Dacic. I assume it will be that detour,” Malisic added.

“I suppose he is more handsome than Vladimir Djukanovic or someone else in the government, as I say, Dacic is more informal,” he says.
Is Dacic ready to activate his diplomatic potential and initiate the opening of a great social dialogue?
That is what the President of the Republic said, because there were some types of dialogue in the previous term, I am willing to do that, of course within the institutions, and even what the European Parliament and the Union said, they point out that the Parliament is the central place for that dialogue, “said Dacic.
“Ivica Dacic is known as a master of bar diplomacy, as a man who can deceive someone with his character, as someone who is perceived as a person who tomorrow will turn his back on Vucic, who can deceive that he will and that he will be on our side in these negotiations, as someone more acceptable in the dialogue than Maja Gojković ”, believes PSG leader Pavle Grbović.
Other opposition leaders believe that Dacic is not helping either, that the dialogue has been a story for a long time.
“I am not so enthusiastic about the idea that the EU will solve our problems, I am in favor of fighting for freedom, justice and democracy on our own,” says Dveri leader Bosko Obradovic.

“The only language this government understands is the language of civil disobedience, protests and demonstrations,” he added.
And with the constitution of the parliament, those who are not in favor of civil disobedience, but also announce that Serbia needs a ministry for the holding of elections, which would be agreed upon by all political actors in dialogue with the mediation of the European Parliament.
The Freedom and Justice Party said that the conditions that must be met for free elections are: freedom of the media, control of the pre-electoral and electoral process, and separation of presidential and republican elections from provincial, Belgrade and local elections, which also they must be re-celebrated.
