Novi Sad Police arrested J.J. (50) de Vrbas, suspected of physically assaulting the head of the Novi Sad Police Department and possessing cocaine.

As they say, J.J., last night at a restaurant in Novi Sad, is suspected of inflicting serious bodily injury on the head of the Novi Sad Police Service, G.M. who identified himself as a police officer.
J.J. A substance suspected of being cocaine was found during the arrest, according to the statement.
The police arrested three other people who were in the company of J.J .: N.P. (33) by Sremski Karlovci – due to the existence of weapons and narcotics, as well as Z.B. (53) by Novi Sad and .M. (51) de Vrbas, suspected of resisting arrest.
N.P. Police found a gas pistol and a substance suspected of being cocaine.
The four were detained for up to 48 hours, after which they will be detained.
Police said that during the intervention, some of the suspects suffered bodily injuries, so the Internal Control Sector of the Serbian Interior Ministry will investigate the actions of the police officers.
Some media reported today that the incident took place in a recently opened restoration center at “Pupin’s Palace”, where J.J. and Officer G.M. beaten in the bathroom
A police officer was unconscious when the suspects were arrested, the media reported.
