Due to a well-founded suspicion that they committed the crime of abusing the position of responsible in the company “Blok Signal”, two people were arrested, one of them: Ljubivoje Slavković (1952), former deputy mayor of Niš and former civil servant of SNS.
Slavković and I. S (48) are charged that in March 2019, by exceeding the authorization, and without a prior decision of the company’s assembly and without the knowledge and approval of the owner, they entered into contracts for the gift of vehicles of passenger motor in the name of “Blok signala”, inflicted material damage to that company for a total amount of 2,656,482 dinars.
Slavković donated a “Skoda” car to IS, while IS gave Slavković a “Mazda”. Police temporarily seized these vehicles and both suspects were detained for up to 48 hours.
Slavković became director of “Blok Signal” in 2014, and later changed positions in the Islamic State. According to APR data, “Blok Signal” is owned by Indian citizen Samir Endos.
Unofficial sources assure that this company has not worked for two years, and that its accounts are blocked for more than five million dinars.
Slavković was also a deputy for the Social Democracy, later he was one of the founders of the Nis SNS and in 2012 he became deputy mayor.
He was expelled from the SNS at the end of 2014 after he refused to resign from one of the functions he held at the same time: deputy mayor and member of the Assembly of the Jugoistok company.
He was manager of several public and private companies.
