BELGRADE – The trial of Zoran Marjanovic, charged with the murder of his wife Jelena on April 2, 2016 in Borca, continued today before the Belgrade High Court.

Marjanović’s defense lawyer, lawyer Veljko Delibašić, proposed today in the courtroom that two colleagues of the brutally murdered Jelena, Sandra Afrika and Indi, be questioned in the continuation of the proceedings.

– We now propose two new witnesses to the circumstances of the relationship between the defendant Marjanović and his wife Jelena, namely Sandra Prodanović named Afrika and Indira Aradinović Indi.

The judge then asked Zoran if he knew their addresses as they could not find them, and he replied to the court:

– No, I really don’t know because we haven’t been in contact for a long time and this whole situation has taken me away from work and people. We have cooperated with those two people for a long time and we also hang out as a family, Marjanović said.

Attorney Delibasic explained to the court that the singers, as witnesses, could rule out Zoran’s alleged motive for the murder of his wife Jelena, because they recently testified on a television show about Zoran and Jelena’s great love and revealed that he “the he was holding like a little water in his hand. “

The trial continued with images from the camera near the scene of the murder. The expert who examined the mobile phone base stations presented additional material to the court, which the defense will comment on after meeting with him, confirmed one of Marjanović’s lawyers, Veljko Delibašić.

It should be remembered that the telecommunications expert Dragoljub Vasiljevic was examined at the previous hearing in mid-November. Marjanovic’s defense attorneys and the defense’s telecommunications expert advisor asked him questions, then claimed that Marjanovic deliberately turned off his mobile phone for 25 minutes at the time of his wife’s murder and called her immediately on April 17.

Defense expert advisor Sasa Savic then said that the phone was turned off, when it was turned on it was logged at least two or three times at base stations, and when a call was made, a call was logged. On the other hand, Vasiljevic believes that if Marnovic had switched on the phone and stayed there for three minutes, the base stations would have changed.

– This was a lightning call. As soon as he turned on the phone, he called Jelena. That’s why you don’t see two logos, said the expert.
