Pilot Captain 1st Class Zvonko Vasiljevic, who died on September 25 during the MiG-21 plane crash, was buried today with military honors in the Donja Borina village cemetery near Mali Zvornik.

In addition to relatives, relatives, colleagues and friends, the funeral was attended by the Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, the Deputy Chief of Staff General of Division Petar Cvetkovic, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the Air Defense Command, General of Brigade Aleksandar Bjelic and the Commander of the 204th Air Brigade, Col. Brane Krnjajic.

The flag of the Republic of Serbia, as a sign of remembrance and eternal gratitude of the motherland for all that Captain First Class Vasiljevic did for her, was presented to his wife.

Pilot Captain 1st Class Zvonko Vasiljevic was the Deputy Commander for Intelligence and Reconnaissance Affairs of the 101st Aviation and Fighter Squadron. He was born on October 3, 1977 in Loznica. He has been in professional military service since September 29, 2001. He was married and the father of two children.

Senior Pilot Dejan Krsnik and Captain First Class Zvonko Vasiljevic were killed on September 25 during the crash of a MiG-21 plane in the Brasina village area near Mali Zvornik, while on a regular flight task.

Senior pilot Dejan Krsnik was also buried today with military honors at the New Bežanija Cemetery in Belgrade.
