Already at the end of this month and the beginning of the next, according to some forecasts, we can expect the third wave of coronavirus. As a result, all warnings remain up to date and the places where the virus spreads most easily are now public transportation, high schools, universities, celebrations, and clubs and cafes.
All of these places will only become high-risk places in cold weather, because the virus is known to be easier and faster to judge indoors.
Urban transport
There is no doubt that city traffic carries the greatest risk, regardless of the fact that numerous measures are prescribed: only one person is allowed to sit in double seats, the distance between those who are standing is determined … That is why it is very important, with the utmost effort to maintain the prescribed distance and for everyone to wear masks, enter through one door, exit through the other and disinfect vehicles.
Due to the high risk, controls on GSP vehicles have been strengthened to ensure that citizens comply with the regulations. Tighter control of the mandatory use of masks on buses, trams and trolleybuses was introduced to prevent the spread of kovida-19, but the big question is how much this will really be possible in November, when a new wave of coronavirus is expected.
In the last days and weeks we have seen crowded public transport vehicles, in which it is not impossible to keep your distance, but it is almost impossible to enter some of them. People have returned from vacation, students and students on the benches, employed in their companies, fewer and fewer work from home …
In addition to all that, there are still those who do not even wear masks, but there are many more who hold them improperly (mainly over the mouth) and therefore quite useless.
Institute
After the Minister of Education, Mladen Šarčević, published the balance of infected people in Serbian schools, one fact is striking: a very small number of infected people were reported in secondary schools. Is that an indication that everything is fine or that something is wrong?
A few weeks ago, Dr. Kon said that the system is good in elementary schools, that it works, but that he is concerned about the situation in secondary schools. While we have yet to have any coronary disease reported in high schools (there were a lot of them in the basics), Dr. Kon said that “there is a fear that cases will resolve only when the situation gets out of control.”
– When the system works, you get data, when it doesn’t work, you don’t have data, our epidemiologist was clear.
He explained that it is unlikely that any high school student had a fever at the time and that if the virus exists in elementary schools, then it must be present in secondary schools.
However, we learned last Friday that based on the most recent cross-section at that time, the virus was reported in 24 elementary schools and 9 high schools.
What Dr. Kon certainly notes is that students, in all likelihood, do not want to report symptoms, “because now they are in an age where there is a certain resistance to everything that has been commanded.”
Furthermore, high school students are the most indifferent in their behavior and attitude towards the virus, which is why they are often labeled as those who adhere poorly to precautionary measures.
Faculties
As a large number of contacts were attributed to young people multiple times during this epidemic, everyone paid attention to what the students were doing. Tens of thousands of students from all over Serbia, Montenegro and the Republika Srpska migrate here and there throughout the year, and on those trips it is quite possible to “catch” kovid-19 somewhere and then spread the virus within universities, dormitories , parties or meetings. .
– We have new risk situations, students are coming, exam deadlines. They come to the houses, especially in Belgrade, it is a risk again. The situation is being prepared, so that we will possibly have a place to isolate the positives, where they will wait for the results, and special places are being prepared where the milder cases will be treated, epidemiologist Kon said this summer.
He also recalled that the previous increase in the number of new patients began with students, but not in dormitories.
– The growth started with the students, not in dormitories, but in various celebrations. All the other people who contracted the disease gave a statement about more mass socialization and did not immediately react to its spread, Dr. Kon cautions.
Recently, Dr. Kon learned of a specific situation, how easily and simply the virus can spread among the student population, and we all feared that scenario.
– We had a critical situation with an exam. There were 100 of them in the room. 100 students in a test and we know the limits. We have information that there was probably an infection at that location – said Dr. Kon.
Celebrations
In anticipation of the Christmas season, which will be celebrated this fall and winter in specific circumstances due to the coronavirus epidemic, the profession’s recommendations are clear: baptism should be celebrated with respect to all epidemiological measures, with family and fewer guests and without hugs kisses. , Congratulations …
Epidemiologists constantly warn that the risk is the gathering of large numbers of people indoors, in a house or an apartment, and that preventive measures should not be forgotten and that such gatherings should be reduced to acceptable limits.
Epidemiologist Dr. Radmilo Petrović told Tanjug that celebrations should be held with the family, with fewer guests, that they should not be kissed, and that hand washing is mandatory.
Indicates that people inside should be at the prescribed distance, with mandatory room ventilation.
According to him, candles, candelabra and incense must burn constantly, because they emit positive ions and somehow sterilize the air.
In addition, it should be added here that the ban on bringing together more than 30 people is in force.
Clubs and cafes
As the weather is no longer good, the meetings in the gardens of the catering facilities are being moved to an enclosed space. The likelihood of infection is known to be indoors than outdoors, so now that chance has risen dangerously in colder weather.
Add to that some cramped space, music, alcohol, and hours of talk, and then you can take the physical distance away. Until now, masks weren’t mandatory for guests in cafes and restaurants, and they mostly sat outside.
Likewise, the work of the catering facilities has been extended until 1:00 am. If the measures are not respected, the members of the Crisis Staff announced that it is possible to introduce measures of mandatory use of masks outdoors.
