The BMW iX3 is the first production SUV from the Bavarian manufacturer.


When it comes to electric SUV models, BMW is slightly behind the top premium rivals, such as Mercedes or Audi, which launched their models in the segment a year ago.

BMW iX3 has been announced since October 2018 when it was unveiled Concept iX3 but the production model has not yet arrived. Still, the first two official photos, which appeared on Instagram these days, hint at the upcoming release of iX3.

Although they were not published by BMW, they are believed to be official promotional photos of the model, which will debut later in the year.

As for the vehicle specifications, the BMW iX3 will store electricity in a 74 kWh battery that provides an odor autonomy of more than 440 km, according to the WLTP standard.

The battery will power a 286 hp, 400 Nm electric motor, and power will be transmitted to the rear. For now, there is no official information that BMW will offer a two-wheel-drive, all-wheel drive version, but it is not excluded that it will launch such an option later.
