The maximum capacity of the KOVID hospital is 500 beds (150 in intensive care and 350 in semi-intensive care).

– We started to work, the first patients were treated, these are patients with moderate and severe clinical symptoms, and during the day we announced the transfer of a new group of patients – Dr. Vladan Cvetanović, hospital coordinator told “Novosti” KOVID in Kruševac.

Currently, patients are cared for by more than 70 more experienced doctors and nurses from the Nis Clinical Center, under whose jurisdiction the work of the Kruševac hospital falls. At the same time, the hospital is training nearly 650 doctors who were hired to work at the KOVID hospital according to the competition conducted by KC Nis.

– The hospital is built structurally and structurally to suit patients – Dr. Vladan Cvetanović previously told “Novosti”. – The institution is designed so that access to the red areas (intensive and semi-intensive care) is from the central part of the facility (reception, triage, laboratory) with warm connections, that is, a “red” corridor to know with accuracy the movement of patients and staff at all times, whose protection is also very important.

As of yesterday, Kovid Hospital was ready to receive patients: each intensive care bed has a ventilator with invasive and non-invasive modes for oxygen support, monitors for invasive monitoring of vital parameters, infusion pumps.
