This afternoon a fire broke out in the building of the Palace of Justice in Kragujevac, as “Blic” has learned.

As we learned, the fire engulfed the roof of the building and a large flame could be seen from a distance.

A Blic reporter from the scene reports that a fire broke out on the top floor of the building and engulfed the roof.

“A small fire has broken out in the building of the Kragujevac Palace of Justice, whose construction is in its final phase, this afternoon when the waterproofing paper installed by the construction workers caught fire,” announced the Ministry of Justice .

As we have learned unofficially, an area of ​​about three square meters was burning and the fire was located by the rapid reaction of the builders who were there.

There was minor material damage and no one was injured.

Fire crews are still on the ground and, as we found out, they managed to prevent further spread of the fire. The cause will be known after the police investigation.

The building in which the fire broke out is the largest infrastructure project that is fully financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia. Its area is 25,000 square meters and it is expected to house 11 judicial bodies. The investment is worth around three billion dinars.
