At the start of the show, professional trainer Dusan Rajic emphasized that metabolic health must be paramount when it comes to fast lifestyles.

PERSONAL TRAINER DUSAN RAJIC HAS CONDUCTED DATA: More than 60 percent of people in Serbia have insulin resistance, and many don’t even know it!

– Only 12 percent of the United States population is metabolically healthy. And when we look at older people, over 65, the statistics are devastating. In this case, only 2 percent of them are metabolically healthy. In Serbia, the situation is a little better, but not too much, Rajic points out, adding that people who have a problem with metabolism generally have a problem with pounds, so fat is usually deposited in the abdomen.

Jelena Kontic, the representative of Serbia in synchronous swimming, is also special because she suffers from type 1 diabetes from early childhood.

I have had diabetes since I was 9 years old. So, I’ve been suffering from diabetes for the last 10 years, but that doesn’t stop me from training. There was no one in my family who had diabetes and the first sign that he was diabetic was a blood count. For days I had an urgent need for water, I urinated too often, and when the results came, it showed that HbA1C was significantly elevated Jelena remembers.

“When I had this disease, I realized that my life from the root would change,” he says.

They asked her if her parents wanted to put you under the glass bell when they found out about her illness, and she said:

– Yes, but on the other hand, my parents are athletes and they knew that it was the smartest thing for me to continue swimming – says Jelena.

She exercises daily and is well cared for at the time of the coronavirus, and then discovered how she eats.

– I don’t completely avoid carbohydrates. My classmates eat pizza and I just eat it like it’s homemade. I carry my bowls full of fruit, even my real bonuses, says Jelena Kontic.
